Our Approach to Learning
The Zany Scientists and Sci-EduTech Kids Programs aim toward the following objectives:

To achieve these goals we incorporate Our 5-Point Learning Method, divided into specialized levels to achieve academic success appropriate to the age and knowledge of our students.
How We Learn
Zany Scientist is a hands-on Science Enrichment and academic learning program that incorporates fun and fascinating learning techniques with scientific inquiry, methodology and scientific language. Our goal at Zany Scientist/ Sci-EduTech kids is to help young budding scientists understand and enjoy the world of Science, Technology, Engineering and Math while applying what is learned to the everyday world around them.

Our programs are geared toward 4 different age levels that cater to the growing inquisitive minds of children between the ages of 3 - 17. Our programs have been created and guided by a great team of teachers, scientists, parents and young people to help build a program and curriculums that are fun, involved, in-depth and in alignment with the academic grade levels of science and health courses.

How do you teach differently than in a regular school based setting?Great Question! At Zany Scientists/ Sci-EduTech Kids we are a complimentary program to your childs school term science subject. Many schools do not teach topics in depth until the 5th and 6th grade. We begin your child in early Science Enrichment in order for them to build their confidence in asking questions and critical thinking skills. We also relate the world of science with learning and strengthening Math, Reading and Language Art skills in a fun and engaging way.

What can I do to help support my childs learning and knowledge in Science?Supporting your child's learning in Science starts with encouraging your children to ask questions and pursue answers. Take advantage of not knowing all the answers to your children's questions and embrace opportuninties to learn together! Science is a way of understanding the world, a perspective and a pattern of thinking that begins at a very early age. That is why parents involvement is soooo important in a childs education, especially for science. Simple investigations done together in the home can bolster what our child is learning in the classroom. Learn Together with Zany Scientist the experience is priceless!

How is Science taught in your program and will my child be engaged?We teach STEM/ METALS on 4 different levels based on grade and/or age groups. Each level: Pathfinders (K - 2nd); Explorers (3rd - 5th); Discoverers (6th - 8th) and Sci-EduTech Kids (High School), learn science topics using our successful 5-Point Learning Model . Our approach was developed by science professionals, educators, parents and young people to help build an awesome learning approach to help students remain engaged and excited about learning.

How do I know if there is a good science camp or enrichment program for my child?Great Question!! The key to identifying a quality S.T.E.M. program outside of a school setting is to make sure that the enrichment program encourages students to explore and build on their ideas. Programs of interest should address real world problems, have students work in teams to solve problems and come up with multiple solutions as well as keeping the core of Science and S.T.E.A.M principles at its core. At Zany Scientists and Sci-EduTech Kids we have Afterschool, Weekend and Summer Camp programs that engage, excites and encourages students to explore and excel in Science courses in and outside of the classroom.

What does your fees cover?Our Afterschool and Weekend program fees cover supplies, faculty and facility costs. Our Summer Camp fees cover faculty, facility, supplies, transportation, lunch/ snack and and field trip costs.
